%X Knowing the conservation status of a region is not always possible, therefore, get hit record and the actual distribution and full of a species it is difficult to achieve because of factors that prevent the realization of inventories. Modeling can be useful for the study of conservation of rare or endangered species, biodiversity loss, climate change impacts, assessment of the invasive potential of exotic species, assistance in determining priority areas for conservation, among others. European Space Agency (ESA) releases large amounts of data in a wide range of subjects to benefit the environment. The study aimed to verify the influence of the spectral data of SPOT VGT satellite called Dry Matter Productivity (DMP) and Fraction of Vegetation Cover (FCover) on the modeling of distribution of Prosopis rubriflora. Spectral data DMP and FCover used in 2013 in the months of January to March and June to August. The algorithm used was Environmental distance (ED) of openModeller Desktop application. The models generated with BIOCLIM data showed lower environmental suitability areas than the other models. The models generated with BIOCLIM data and DMP do not have a discontinuity to central Bolivia and suggests very limited in the Brazilian coastal areas. The models generated with BIOCLIM data and FCover suggests environmental suitability throughout Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. The data provided by ESA were important for the development of species distribution models.
